End of the Rainbow

We had a quick thunderstorm blow through last night, with a fleeting evening rainbow and dramatic dark backdrop to highlight my favorite cottonwood tree and mountain ranges. The fence and wheel sprinklers are a bit of a drag, but it is no easy task to climb over the fence to get past them:

Thank you very much, brettmc! I never tire of looking at this scenery, and I am blessed to have it right outside my door.

I like the wheels in some respects, but I get tired of them being in almost all my winter shots, since they drive all of them to the fence for the winter. They are interesting subjects in their own rights...and I should take some time to photograph them by themselves, we've had some great tule fog and they would make a good B&W study.
