Another test for you.

Canon 300d, Nikon D70, or scanned film print (PS work to convert to b&w, crop to panorama format, add grain and slightly soften focus for effect.)?

What? You want to soften it, downscale it and make it black and white...

Nobody can tell you that....

But if you shot raw, printed it on a nice 13*19... upsampled...

Then it would show and the truth would be revealed!

Doesn't help me much if you have it in your bedroom.

When comparing full size pics from dpreview I could see more noise in D70. In here you might as well put up post size pics and ask us what it was shot with.

Unscientific.

I disagree, at least for the purpose of our debates here. Most of the people that are debating the 'canon-sucks/nikon-sucks' issue will rarely, if ever make poster-sized prints of their photos.

That is a Fantastic photo. So amazing. Has someone bought it off you? I wouldn't be surprised if some local gov. magazine has.

Here're the current results of this poll:

  • Nikon D70
    16%
    16% [ 2 ]
    Canon 300d
    58%
    58% [ 7 ]
    Scanned film print
    25%
    25% [ 3 ]

This one was the one really designed to take the cake. This photo was taken about 6 years ago with a $15 point-and-shoot film camera. Proof positive that it's not about the camera!
