Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Had an engagement session today and I've got so many pictures to edit, but I wanted to share a few....

1. (Can't decide if I like the full version with the canon, or the crop)

I don't like how small they are in #1. You have to search for them in the photograph.

I like #2, but they look really bright and details are lost, I think.

3 is cute, but it looks like the ring is blown? COuld be my eyes.

4 is cute, but I think I'd trim up his neck some, it's an odd angle that is giving him a bigger neck than Ithink he has.

5 she doesn't look like she wants to be kissing him. I think I might even get the impression that with her arm like that she's pulling away from him.

6 great energy, I really like it.

Looks like it was hard light to work in.

If I had to choose between #1 and #2 I would choose 2. In both photos the subjects are lost to the background. Having the cannon in the shot makes this worse.

#3 is good, your best of the lot IMHO.

#4 is decent.

the rest are highly blown out.

Still not big enough in the frame, but w/e

No, his neck is like that. They were joking the entire time about his turkey neck :(

It was mid day, 11amish, the fort was once painted white so that they could see better at night (white is reflective, blah blah blah, we were behind a tour group... hehe) so the white was a bit hard to work with.
I had an evening session tonight also but she canceled :( I am trying not to be scared to shoot mid day, but it is pretty hard not to blow the backgrounds unless you are using flash, and I've yet to master that.

I think they are all great ideas..but I have to say as soon as I saw number 5 I thought "oh she totally does not want that kiss"
...but otherwise, I have nothing else to say because I can't offer CC for my lack of any knowledge except how to breathe air.
;)

Done with this session.
Here is what I put together....

The last two are more for fun.....

I like the second set much better than the first. I think when your doing engagement shots you need to think of the background and props in the shots. Do they reflect the emotion or subject your trying to capture and in my opinion a canon isnt very romantic. Thats just my opinion though. Im not sure about the very lost shot either. She looks really annoyed. But LOVE the expression on the second to last.

I feel like #1 and #2 aren't close enough to the subject, especially in the first one. This was overall a good set, but I find her boots so distracting in the photos. Nothing you could really do about it, but my eyes are more drawn to her boots than anything. Just not very good wardrobe choices..

She looks like she was horribly uncomfortable. That's really hard to overcome. I think you did good. :)

Just out of curiosity... is he as much older than her as he looks?

I am such the odd ball out because I'd love a shot like that for my engagement photos. I guess I'm in the different crowd though and would not like the normal, beach, flowery, soft, park, all lovey kissy shots....
But I can see why most people would think it is odd and they'd rather have the normal background! :)
The couple choose this location, shared with me similar photos from another photog who shot a bridal session here, so I was trying really hard not to copy the other photog while giving them what they wanted.
How do you handle that?
They show you photos of what they like, but you don't want to be copy cat?

I refuse to photograph someone in those boots! They ruin any picture;)

Was there any way to get up top to the cannon, that would've been super cool.
And so many jokes to go with it.
