Has anyone used it for film scanning? Its cheap, but is it any good?
I've got one. It's not great for film and it can only do 35mm. Reflection scans are pretty good tho. I'm thinking of getting a seperate film scanner.
I would not recommend this scanner for film scanning unless you just need a very basic scan for web display. If you are scanning 35 mm only and on a budget, see if you can still find a Minollta Dual Scan IV in stock somewhere.
Another scanner i could maybe afford is CanoScan 5000F. The Minolta is too expensive. I would mainly use it for websized pics (max. 1000px the longest side, but usually around 650px the longest side)
