Is Canadian Football the same as American Football, or is it more like Aussie Rules or Rugby or something??

It's pretty much exactly like American Football...(except it's better)

Canadian Football is played on a much wider and wee bit longer field than NFL. CFL has 12 players per side, rather than 11. In the CFL, teams only get three downs to gain 10 yards for a first down (four in the NFL). In the CFL, teams only have half the time (play clock) to get the next play off...so it's much faster than the NFL. In the CFL, players can't call for a fair catch on a punt.

In the NFL, however, players get paid more than whole teams up here. Therefore, they have the best athletes. The production value is much greater in the NFL and they have many more teams (only 9 in the CFL).
