Hello,
I'm a beginner photographer and my father would like me to photograph my sister's birthday. It's going to be pretty big, so he wants me to do a good job at it.
The party will take place in a church throughout the morning, followed by a party in a rented out event center.
I mentioned I was a beginner, what I have to work with is...a D3000 along with the stock lens, a series E 50mm, and (soon to get) a 35mm 1.8F. I might also acquire a new flash of some sort.(something cheap like a speedlight SB-28DX)

So my question to you is, will this be enough? Please leave some advice for a beginner.

Hi

Sounds like a daunting prospect haha.

Your equipment will be fine. The f1.8 lens and flash will definitely be a big help in the church. I think the real test will be for you and your "eye", rather than your gear.

What you have should suffice.
Good luck
