Ever Sell Prints Door to Door in downtown/town center area?

I am thinking of going to local downtown/town center areas with some of my favorite larger prints, introduce myself as a local artist to shop/restaurant/etc. owners and try to sell them my work.
Anybody ever do this?

I agree that would probably be a good idea. I think both would be a good idea, though.

Second question...Should I have them framed when presenting them, or just prints?

I would just bring in a little portfolio filled with 8x10 prints, and allow the manger to look through it. also, the manger might have a theme in mind, say water, or trees. so you might want to be prepared for that.
