I've never been much for bandwagons, but I figured I'd give HDR a shot...
I know the image itself isn't anything spectacular, I just wanted to tinker...

These are the two exposures I used straight from the camera...

exposed for the landscape...

exposed for the sky...

final product...

Comments? Suggestions?

I suggest forgetting about HDR and manuallyt putting the sky from the 2nd one over the landscape of the first one. You washed out your sky exposure. You need to tonemap this HDR.

I think 4 exposures would have worksed best for this. one to bring out more detail in the landscape, the existing landscape, the camera's normal exposure, your sky shot, and another one under that.

tone map, and you'll have more information to work with.
