I had that happen to me with an entire series of photos when i was first starting out. I had just gotten my Graflex, and went to shoot a belly dancer, but the focusing mechanism was too slow so I focused on the center of the room and then tripped the shutter whenever she entered the field of view. The entire series came out with everything clear as day except for the belly dancer.

To this day I have no idea how people in the 60's were able to use that camera to shoot moving objects.
