Is it any better by now? Your eye, that is - the photo can't get any better.
Looks like quite a serious infection to me, nothing to be taken too lightly.
My son had an eye like that of late and it required a 5-day antibiotic treatment, it was contageous and all. Not nice.

The photo however is very ... erm ... dark, despite that horrible bright red... Whoa. This section of TPF makes me shudder all the while (which is the idea, I would assume!?!?)
