    Hey all,

I am looking at buying an external LCD flat panel monitor during the January sales. My budget is around £150/$300 and am happy to buy online on ebay or elsewhere. I have always been fond of the Sony VAIO screens as they have super sharp quality (such as this one http://www.pixmania-pro.co.uk/uk/uk/376254/art/sony/17-tft-flat-panel-display.html?srcid=867)

However, I am aware of the over pricing of Sony products. Are there better screens out there for less or the same money? I have trailed through google and froogle but haven't found many user reviews, which is what I am looking for. Also, I would prefer a widescreen monitor as that is currently what my laptop uses as I do a lot of video editing as well as photography based work. I would appreciate recommendations from anyone.

    Many thanks,
    Drew

There have been a couple of threads on LCD monitors. You might want to search through.
