Strange! I have never looked at an eye that close up, lol.

I like the detail of the third shot. I wish that she didn't have eye makeup on though.

I really struggle with close ups on eyes.
I think it's mainly getting enough light to have a quick shot.

Thanks for looking and the comments! I hardly ever shoot macro style shots but lately i haven't had the opportunity to shoot outdoors

and because i need my daily dose of photography, i decided to bug my girlfriend while she was watching TV

I too like the detail in #3.
i had no idea eye balls looked like that so close.
I've seen my eyeballs at the optomotrists.. but thats just gross cause it's more like... inside your eyeball. ick.

Nice to see someone else try this, too. How did you achieve the macro effect? I tried it on my daughter's eyes when I first detected (or was shown the possibility of ... and through nothing else but TPF!...) reversed lens macro photography. Difficult to achieve but great fun .

Are these cropped? What lens did you use? I'm just wondering, and I think they all look good.

I just used my NON-macro lenses (kit lens and Tamron 55-200mm) and my extension tubes to get the closeups!

These were not cropped in anyway! just shot in RAW and converted.
