A photo I took in school. My inspiration was from that famous shot from national geographic oh that womans beautiful green eyes. Sorry I don't know the name of that photo.

Tell me what you think. These photo's in my picasa web album are just me messing around. Teaching myself about aperture and shutterspeeds, rule of thirds. All the basics.

 
Experimenting with shots is the best way to really get used to what your camera does. You might want to play with the cropping and color a bit, too... try it in B&W, or selective coloring, with only the eyes in color. Have fun!
 
With regards the rule of thirds, placing the eye on an intersection is a good thing usually. your eyes are just too centred. It looks a pretty awkward image. It's the nose that stands out to me!

Yes that is the photo I am talking about.

I just realized that I posted this in the wrong place.

Yeah, the eyes are a little to much centered I have yet to mess around with it in photoshop.
