    while poking around in the foothills east of Snoqualmie Pass in the Washington Cascades, i found this little stream. took a 4x4 and some scrambling over a boulder-strewn creek bed, but when i found this it was all worth while... 40D, Tamron SP24-135 @ 77mm, 1.3 sec @ f/7.1 with fill flash...

    Very nice. I like the touch of color with the fall leaf.

    nice work, the flash really brings out the colors. Love it.

    Stunning photo! I love how you captured the dampness on the rocks, the angel hair look of the water is perfect and that red leaf completes the shot perfectly. Absolutely beautiful!

    thanks, everyone, for the kind words. this is one of my favorite shots among the photos i've taken recently, and i'm waiting on a 12x18 print for my wall... ;)

    thanks for looking and commenting. i admit, i purposely chose that title in honor of Frank Lloyd Wright's house in PA...
