Here's a shot from a fashion shoot I did yesterday. Let me know what you think.
Technically, a spot on photo (except for the shadow on her chest from the string) but lacking that "pow" factor.
Nice lighting, love the models pose and look.
Ya man you were so close to a perfect photo but the shadow dude! Makes the photo so bad.
Great stuff as always.
Thanks man. I like the nit-picky comments, it keeps me on my toes. I thought about removing the bow on her chest in Photoshop but decided against it as it's part of the clothing design and this was a shoot for the clothing designer. It would be like removing Cindy Crawford's mole. Well, not quite, but you get my drift.
About the lacking the "pow" factor comment... It's a clothing shot meant for a catalog so I can't get too crazy. Heck, I was pushing the limits with this shot as it was in terms of being just a little too "crazy" for what was wanted. Luckily everyone likes the shot so I got away with it.
Here's a sample shot of what the client was looking for:
The typical JCPenny's catalog looking shot.
I would take the bow out, as an avid female shopper it's annoying and feel like I need to fix it for her. Great shots other wise! I always enjoy your work.
