    Young starling that fed it's self when the parent wasn't looking!

    Must be how "Weightwatchers" feel!

    Wow, is that an extreme closeup or what?! Given your previous life as a dentist, nothing you haven't seen before, right?

    As always, you got wonderful details in the feathers and a real sense of the bird's 'personality', if I can use that word.

    Taken from about 6-7 feet according to the focus setting. I love watching the antics of the young starlings - just like children and stroppy teenagers
