Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Not sure if this is the right place for this type of question, please let me know if I should be posting this somewhere else.

I'm trying to learn how to improve my photos with Gimp, and I'd appreciate some feedback. Below is a before and after sample, I have tried to improve the contrast and saturation using the Curves tool. My primary question is did I go far enough with my changes, or should I increase the contrast and saturation even more? I think the after image looks better, but I'm not sure if it can be improved further.

Thanks

Coincidentally I saw this little guy while on a run yesterday

I agree with the earlier post, the bark has been improved by the processing, but the squirrel gets a little lost with the darkened tones.

I'm a bit of a "cropaholic" I try to eliminate everything that doesn't complement the subject which in this case is the squirrel. The out of focus branches on the left are distracting and much of the bark is just dead space. Tighten up on the subject.
