I was trying to capture the butterfly feeding. I shot this with a Canon EOS 1D Mark II, ISO 200 at 30mm f/5.6 at about 50th sec. I was wondering how I did on Composition, Exposure and overall presentation.

IT SUCKS!! Just kidding. Everything about this picture is PERFECT with one exception: the leaves got in the way a bit partially obstructing the view of the butterfly's body. If it wasn't for that this shot would be 10/10 for insect macro. I know how tough these can be. It is definitely not as easy as it looks. The bugs don't pose and wait for you to shoot and unless you have a quick adjustable tripod, hand holding is tough; and that's even if there is no breeze blowing things in and out of focus. Your DOF is great on this.

On the DOF, I know it's not the subject of the photo but having that other flower above the butterfly in focus would be interesting. But that doesn't make me not like the photo! Very nice.
