I like the 2nd and 3rd.
However the 1st has too small of a focal point,
and the 4th has an irritating glare/shine to it.

Kind of. But it's closer to what I got because I wanted a small focal point actually. But maybe a little larger than what i got. Less than yours though. I wanted a few sharp blades among a mass of blur haha

I dont know if its lighting, my tired eyes or they are out of focus, but they do not look very sharp, does anyone else agree?

Well the black and white one is a tad soft but thr bush and crayons look dead on sharp to me

it didnt turn out exactly as i wanted but #1 i intended it to come out that way, i wanted a mass of softness with a few sharp blades

The ones you consider sharp, which is debatable are hidden behind a blurry mess. I would try to re shoot that.
I would be interested in seeing some comparable shots, with your Olympus and your friends camera. same picture, same settings, see what the results are.
