Nice to be here! 
I recently acquired a Pentax K1000 SLR (about 1980-82 vintage), and wanting to learn how to use it, I searched for a photography forum and found TPF! I've had a keen interest in photography since I was about 12, and have enjoyed basic digital photography. However, now that I'm a bit older, it's time to move on to something a bit more advanced; I'm hoping to eventually learn how to develop my own film and prints, as well as hone my artistic eye.
