Hi, I have purchased a Minolta X-300 (i no it's an old camera but it is in a1 condition) I also have a Minolta Dynax 3000i. Along with these i have at the moment three lenses but all have differant sizes for fitting filters. My question is am I better to buy filters of different sizes to fit these lenses or should i buy step up/down rings & just use the filters i have (all 52mm)?. Does using step up/down rings give poor quality phot's?.
    Any help please.

    uv

    they work rather well.

depending on the size... you can use step-up rings for most filters... step-down rings might cover the image area (vignetting), in almost any case don't use step-down rings for optical lenses/filters...
