finally i got photoshop loaded onto my computer and i can post pics andhave an avatar

Enjoy Photoshop! Take some time and play with every button. That's the best way to learn if you haven't used it before.

Just remember to save your files as different file names so you don't lose the original shots!

I'm teaching myself photoshop this summer. I've got a great book-- _The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers_ by Scott Kelby. While it's just a step-by-step for how to achieve certain effects and results, I've gleaned a lot of info about how PS actually works. Great stuff!

The biggest difference for me in upgrading is the ability to edit photos in 16-bit. CS also has better RAW support. There is also a new feature to control highlight/shadow detail.
