very interesting clouds... was it raining later on? they seem strange to me... like the UFO in Independance Day

beautiful colours. ehh... now when I look through the window I have no sun... only dull white clouds covering all the blue

Oh wow, yes, with a sky like that I'd also have stopped the car to take photos.
While the second most looks like your title for this thread (Fire Phoenix), I also like the first best - the clouds seem to be swirling! We need wxnut here to give us the name of this cloud formation.

Mentos, we're sending you a tiny high pressure area. It's nice here today. So it'll be nice with you tomorrow - when more grey clouds are forecast to be coming our way.

This cloud just appear after sunset,there is no rain later on.
It is very common here,sometimes when I drive on the way home,I see this view very often. forturnately, there are not too much tall building in our city Christchurch.I took this pic on the playground of a school.
