First B&W Try

#1 Lightened.

Not so great... lightening the right side of the image might be ok, but with the "whole image lightening," you've blown out the mammatus on the right side.

Haha yea, my dog is 14 years old, so she was actually completely asleep when I took this (which helped out a ton =]). My dog is all black and white (ok, mabye grey also) but it really just benefitted the photo alot i think. And thank you!

Did you add a gaussian blur vignette? Don't really care for it.

What are you shooting specs?

The B&W is pretty good but it looks a little OOF from camera shake (but that might be from the gaussian blur). It looks slightly underexposed too. A little too much floor in the foreground for me.
 
Some roses I've been drying out for almost a year seemed to take to B&W well:
