First camera help!

I've been visiting mr londoners photostream on flickr, theawardtour.com,ishotny.com, and I love the photography. I wanted to know what would be a good camera to start with if I wanted to take photos that are similar in style (similar effects, and on the go usage) Thanks.

I would recommend that you start with a Canon Rebel. That way you're not going to spend an arm and a leg just to find out that you're not going to stick with it. Of if you're looking to jump in it a little further you can check Craig's List or eBay and get a used Canon 20D or 30D.

Those were shot on film.

The NY series, anyway. Exif says the capture equipment was a Nikon Coolscan V ED (film scanner).
