I got myself a sony H50 a few months ago, pretty basic but i got it to get started with taking pictures.
Took quie some pictures and here are some of the nicest i made so far, some advice would be nice

I really like DSC00633.jpg and think that's the best of the lot, good exposure, perspective, and composition. The best advice I can give you is watch your focus as some of the others have potential but are OOF.
