First couple of photos with my new lens...

I got to test drive my new 70-300 IS USM the other day, and I'd love some C&C.

The 70-300 is a great lens for the money and these shots are a good first attempts ....With the white subject they are slightly overexposed..Backing off a a half a stop may have helped alot.

Yeah, he was all white, plus it was like at 1 in the afternoon. Bright sun! These are mostly with lightroom auto settings. I adjusted the saturation a tiny bit in them to make the grass a little greener, but him being so bright made it tricky. For me, anyway.

I fixed the first image a bit. The fire hydrant seemed to be leaning a bit, and colours were a bit off. See if this is any better.
