    Hello everyone, i finally got my Nikon D40 Kit and i love it, im learning more and more everyday from you guys at the Photoforum but im still a noob.
    so anyways here are some of my first Pictures taken with my d40 kit ( all not edited). Warning contains cars :p.

    wow loads of people have been getting the D40 lately, ( including me lol ), horizons are a bit slanted, but nice photos and cars:thumbup:

    I have the same problem when shooting for me it's really hard telling if I am holding the camera at a angle
    I may just buy one of those levels you attach to your hotshoe

    presentable first shot and congratulations on getting a D40

    mmmmm.......1967 427 Vette with stinger hood/stripe.......drool...........

    Like others have said, watch those horizons. And be sure to start playing around with the manual/semi-manual modes.

    I'm in much the same boat but getting better, photoshop's a wonderful thing though. :p

    Congrats on the new D40 blackbelt from a fellow traveller. 3's a great shot in particular, wonderful colours.

    #1 is underexposed and in #2 the sky doesn't look so great. I like #3.
