First Foray into lighting.

I used my brother as a model while I experimented with using my sb-600 remotely. I'd like some input in how I did or where I could improve.

Keep in mind the composition wasn't the focus in this shot. It was mostly a lighting test.

Window light perpindicular to the face and flash from about 45 degrees on the opposite side of the face.

I like it, very nice soft even light. You could try making the fill light one stop below the flash (if you use an incident spot meter you can determine this) and create a bit more shadow on the side of his face - which will give it a little more shape. -- but still I dig this for sure

That's what I was going to say...the lighting is too even. Reduce one or the other to get more modeling.
