first Hockey photos

I know these arent the best, but I'd like some feedback on what I thought were good ones.

Shot with a Canon EOS Rebel T1i and a EF 70-300mm f/4.0 at 16000 ISO and auto Shutter.

First off you might have better luck with critique if you post the actual image. People like myself are lazy and cant be bothered to click through all the links usally. If your not sure how:

Your first three pics were ok but really looked like snapshots. Centered subjects, focus is soft in one you have the tip of a hockey stick showing in another which is distracting. The last two are horribly grainy and out of focus. Sorry I know this isnt the best critique but these were just my 2 cps.

This is the kindve input im looking for

This is the first time I've ever shot any type of action like this and I didn't use any type of tripod.

I dont see how theyre out of focus, and I only see the grain when I enlarge them.

I think I need more practice, with action in general.
