These are my first macros, made inside this ghetto fabulous light tent:

I'm looking for critique: Are these photos boring? How do they make you feel, if anything? What do they make you think of, if anything? How is the light, focus, color, etc? Anything you think about these, I want to hear it.

These were shot with a Sigma 70-300mm, with 2:1 magnification. The statuettes are busts 4.5 inches/12 centimeters tall. Photoshop for levels, curves, color correction, burn and clone hot spots.

try to use your macro on something with more details or dimension........this statue is too flat to comment on the macro lense

I agree, go shoot some flowers

It will be two months before I can shoot flowers! Would a dried bouquet or an aloe vera plant work?

Maybe I should have put these in the general gallery, since there seems to be not much on the "macro" nature of them to comment on.

doesnt need to be flower.....shoot something tiny with lots of details......even a screw will work (a tiny screw i mean)...or take apart an old watch....take a picture of the gears inside
