Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Newborns present a whole set of challenges that I never knew possible :) I don't feel too bad b/c the parents are not paying for this session (friends) and the baby is only 1 week old and they did not want to take him out of their house. I took my softbox and we used the reflectors diffuser to get the light we had there indoors. We pretty much shot everything on the leather couch. Please C&C and let me know what I could do in these situations to get more shots with newborns.

well they must not be good enough to get a reaction but not bad enough to critque.....lol

I like using a 50 for babies because of the shollow DOF, usually has a softening effect that moms love. Good shots though, did you have an attachment on the flash or use available light?

no flash, i actually brought in a 1000 watt softbox and set it up over the couch then we used a diffuser disc to soften the light some more. Flash was too harsh for this setting no matter how I bounced it....

Good, I have had great luck with my Hensel setup using a softbox on babies. Combine good consistent light output with soft diffused light and you get a natural looking light. I have had luck in a pinch though using a lumiquest softbox on a flash with the flash at -1-2 compensation. I have a shoot with newborn twins coming up in a week.

Nice photos, I know how difficult it can be to shoot babies especially if they're in a crabby mood! 6,7,8 & 10 are my favorites #9 and a few of the others would have been good with a sleepy baby but some things are waay beyond our control. (LOVE the baby feet!)

Nice job. 8and 10 are my favorites.
