    Went to the San Antonio Zoo this weekend and took these pictures with my new Canon 350D and a Canon EF 28-200mm 3.5/5.6 USM Lens.

    Love the flamingoes! Vibrant! I might have cropped out the hint of the third bird on the right, but otherwiseÂ… Excellent!

    These are all really nice and they tell me once again that also I must go to the zoo ... that is on my to-do list for this upcoming spring and summer (but I also need to get myself at least one undodgy telephoto or zoom lens!). This black-white-blue bird (third pic from the bottom) was obviously moving its head pretty fast while eating, that is the only pic in which I can see some blurriness from the movement. All the others: very sharp.

    Thank you for all your replies. DepthAfield you were right about the flamingoes, should have cropped out the bird on the right.

    LaFoto, yes you were right that blue and white bird was feeding. It moved its head.
