First Pics with 50mm

I took these yesterday with my new 50mm lens.I am really new to dslr/slr photography but am trying to learn so any comments you have about theses pics is welcomed.They are nothing spectacular just trying to experiment with diff settings and my PSP program.

meh, they are pretty neat. but try out ur new 50mm for portraits or sumthing.

None of those pictures really do anything for me..

With the long exposure night shots (2 & 3) they would maybe be more interesting if you could see more of what's going on around them? The pattern of those lights isnt that exciting. If the lights are going to be the only thing being focused on, you have to make them really stand out..

Here is a long shutter shut i took recently while bored on a long road trip:

I'm not saying my shot is great, but it is more interesting, to me anyways (i'm probably biased though ).
