first picture post, football pic

first picture post here. this one was taken with my dad's 30 year old olympus slr. we had the film developed and put on a cd, and then i butchered it up. The final outcome this:

You isolated the subject nicely with the DOF but it looks as if he is not quite is sharp focus. It also looks underexposed.

I think if you got all of his hands in shot it would of improved it, other than that, I like it. The guy on the right doesn't look to athletic..

ya I was using a 70-300 zoom lens and it was and it was an overcast/cloudy day. plus I think I had the shutter a stop or two too high. As for the sharpness of the shot, I'm gonna blame that on the kodak film and walmart processing, but in reality it was probably my fault. Hopefully I will put an end to that soon, as i am a couple hundred bucks away from a d70.
