First Portraits with 50mm F1.8....

Just got my lens in the mail yesterday, thought I would take some quick portraits. Let me know what you think!

1) My lovely mother, Behaving herself.....

3) My little brother from another mother!! Sat still just long enough to get this!

I like all three. I might brighten up the first one a little and crop off the empty space above her head (to 4x5 ratio, maybe). I like how the boy's face is sharp but the rest of the image has some motion blur combined with the shallow DOF. Really nice! I'd probably crop the space above his head too, though.

Nice! I like the tones on #1. #2 is a keeper.
