First Post Here - Hello World

I've been interested in photography for awhile, but only as a hobby, and an occasional one at that. I do a fair amount of traveling, and take a ton of pictures when I do, but I don't take many photos when home.

Anyway, I've held off joining a board because I've always worried I would get talked into buying large and expensive cameras. This may still happen, but I'll try to exercise some restraint.

I finally joined because I don't think my photos on my last couple of trips have been as good as on the trips several years back - in other words, I think my photography is regressing rather than improving. To avoid this trend from continuing, I figure this is a good start.
