Hello Everyone, I am now getting back into Photography, did many, many years ago when I was in High School. I have recently purchased a Nikon D40 and have been working at taking better photos and learning as much as I can. I just found this forum yesterday and this is my first post. I am hoping that you can take a look at a few of my photos and tell me what you think, be gentle as I am still very new to this, any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

They look nice! Some of them look more like snapshots than others. Great start!

I'd say the flash ruined a couple of the pics, but nice ride. Yours?

Yes, that is my car, I tend to shoot a lot of photos of the car, I am pretty proud of it.

Is that a TUNED Z06?? Wow, that must be your absolute pride and joy. The Z06 photos are great, if a little samey (not a bad thing), and the squirrel shots are very interesting. I'm sure with a bit of Photoshopping they would come out cover-worthy :)

I love the one of the tennis ball. Just the way you managed to make the ball pop out, yet still keep the reflection near perfect. I also like the first light shot, not as much as some of the others, but still very nice :D

Yes it is tuned, she is running 525 HP to the rear wheels, it has a Cam, Cold Air intake, Headers and the Tune.

Thank you for your thoughts on the pictures, I am just trying new things to learn as much as I can, I want to get better.

I like them all. Very nice. Love the car. I think the 2nd colorful light pic was better than the first. opinions... everybody's got one.

    Nice work.

:drool2::drool2::drool2: Over here, I'd be lucky to see a Vauxhall Nova "running" 40hp to one of the front wheels!

I totally agree, the only way to really get better is just to experiment. Books and tutorials sure help, but they only teach you new things. In order to master them, you'll have to use the camera more. Good luck!
