    Everytime Ive seen this bird Ive never had my camera with me.....until the other day:D ......anyway Ive been a lurker for too long,so heres my first post.

    that's a great shot... i hope Peter can ID it, looks like a Harris Hawk to me, but I am not sure.

    Well, although I would have been unable to identify this one for you, I can still tell you that I really like your photo of this hawk, and that I envy you for having got so close to him.

    If you have lurked for months, you may "know" some of us by now, and so the neverending story of "LaFoto and the Birds" may already have made itself known to you, too?!?!?!? ;)

    Great capture...and it is indeed a Harris Hawk, I have a couple of captures of that species in my archive. Nicely done!
