First post, with some pics

Hello,

my name is Holger, I am 24 years old/young and live in Hamburg, Germany. I got myself a Nikon D50 at the end of last november and just love it.
So this is my first post after two months of just looking around. I have to say, this is one of the friendliest forums i have ever been to.

I think a small mixed selection of pictures would be a good start to introduce myself.

1. Hamburg airport (I kinda like this one alot)

3. Hamburg Speicherstadt (the sky is a bit overexposed and the bus on the Birdge is bugging me)

4. Hamburg city park (when i first looked at this picture i had immediatly this old vintage/retro feeling and thought it needs some grain and a touch of sepia)

6. Hamburg city park (there was this guy flying around with a paraglider down a "very" small hill)

All these shots have great points, but I like 2 and 6 the most, the guys expression is cool and you gotta love an aviation shot! I also really like 7 but I think I might have liked a little bit more context in the shot, as without 6 I might not have completely understood.

Great introduction to the forum and I look forward to seeing more!!

Firstly congratulations with the D50, as you may tell by my signiture i'm quite fond of mine. Secondly.....dude you've got some great pics here 1,3,4 and 6 stand out to me. I agree the first one has a really nice composition and the colours are great. Also love the Hamburg Speicherstadt shot, excelent perspective. Look forward to seeing more :thumbup:

Then I stopped posting Hamburg-pics, though I still have all the "Reflections" in store somewhere from that excursion.
The weather was soooooo nice in those days.
My yesterday's pics are sooooo grey in comparison :roll:

I am realy eager to learn more about photography and I am so happy I found this place with people as eaqually ambitious as myself.

@LaFoto: These are such wonderful pictures of Hamburg. I particularly like the shots of the Köhlbrand-Brücke. I always have my camera with me, looking for nice spots and I know there are so many I didn't even find yet. I hope the weather will stay good for the next couple days

All your pictures is good ones, and the vintage-football thing is great! I love that place "Hamburg Speicherstadt". Hope you have the opportunity to return there and avoid the overexposed sky (and the bus ).

Great selection of pics there, Holger! Every one of them had someting that caught my interest, and they are very well taken. I got my D50 in October, I haven't put it to such good use though :blushing:
