First roll with first SLR

DOF is Depth of Field. It determines what areas of your pic are sharp. Examples: Background blurry, close object sharp ; Everything sharp.

Can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing aperture.

depth of field. The larger the aperature, the narrow the dof, there is less space that is in focus. Like if you use F8 on a flower at 100mm, the background should all be blurry. But if you used F22 the background could be in focus.

I like that last picture, except for the powerlines. That bugs me a lot, anywhere I go I'll see a nice shot where the damn powerlines get in the way.
