First shot with my real camera -- flower

I tried to find something around my house so I took a picture of this flower. Comments?

I'd go for a shallower DOF to make a less busy background and maybe a little less exposure to deepen the colors. Pretty flower though.

I'd also have been tempted to shoot at a much lower angle to see if I could get interesting parts of those dangling flower buds into the picture. Course I'm the queen of remembering to do that myself - after the fact....
