My dad gave me an amazing Christmas gift this year. He passed his 70-200VR
lens down to me to upgrade to a 200-400 I believe? He is insane. Lost his marbles
I tell ya. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to do much with it, so last night I
decided to see how it worked with the SB-600. I love the colors and how much
contrast this lens produces. Love it. Can't wait to get outside and get some
different shots. I am re-invigorated. :)

All i can say is... you lucky #&%$ !!!!!

Wish my Father would hand me down a 70-200VR.

Oh, and nice pictures.

Wow...cool score. Diggin the shots too.

Nice shots. I just unloaded my 200-400VR lens. Very slow and I had lots of problems with it. A buddy also has the same lens and he had some good results. I just think I had a lemon of a lens.

"Re-invigorated" sounds like a very good word!
How I wish something came my way to do the same to me --- I feel so extremely low in my creativity. Nothing can entice me to get out the camera - and there were NO PRESENTS for me at all this Christmas (including my birthday), so nothing new on the camera or lens front to "re-invigorate" me, either. Hmph.

The results show that you got a valuable present here, and I like what I see. Can't wait to see the photos you will get as soon as you go out with this lens!

Even though your black cat also is a very nice subject on which to test out this new lens, and the fur detail comes out nicely, despite his/her being all black (which isn't THAT easy to achieve!).
