I been shooting at my old car club events and now I have a couple of people asking to see and maybe buy some of my photos. Also the head of the club asked me if I wanted to have a link to my gallery on the clubs web site in order to sell my work. Well I told him yeah that would be great, But after I remembered that im a noob and have no I Idea how to go about selling my stuff.

I think having a break down of what cost what would be a good Idea. I could offer

1, The unedited versions on a cd, or all edited on a cd also. Of both on one cd?

2, Direct download from my gallery site of there photos?

Now how can I accept payment? I have a pay pal that I use to send payments. Can I use that to accept money?

And how much could I charge for a image? Remember im new and don't want to charge too much but I don't really feel like giving away my shots also.

Dont' bother selling unedited photos...sell the finished product. If you let go some shots that really aren't good, then word gets around you took some junk photos and sold them...lol.

Try to only sell stuff worth money.

A way to sell them would just put a big watermark on them in your gallery and then accept prepayments from paypal and send the file through email to the purchaser after you receive payment.

Paypal does charge to accept credit card payments though.
For bank transfers it's free I think.
Also, I believe they charge if you withdrawl (transfer to your personal bank account) a balance less than $150.00. Anything more than that is free to take out.
At least the account I have is like this.

What about prints? Why are you offering just digital files and not prints?
Or offer a free low res file with every print purchase. That way they can use the pictures on their websites but not make 100 enlargements of something you worked hard on.
