This is the first time I've shown any pics I've taken to anyone, not related to me lol...

They are out of focus. Not too interesting either

They do look a little soft, not not necessarily out of focus. As for interesting, they are nice, as far as flower shots go. I like the simplicity of them...especially the 2nd one.

Well, they are scans from walmart, which might have to with the softness...but, I think it has more to do with me having a bit too narrow DOF. I was probably using a 4-5.6 f-stop.

The scan probably does have a lot to do with the softness...Didn't mean to come accross harsh on my post sorry if I did. One thing you may try when shooting flowers especially if they have the pollen stems (not the right term but Im no botanist) in the middle is to make sure you do not focus directly on those, with a shallow dof the flower will be a bit out of focus if your focus is on the pollen sacks.
