so i just got a 40d. woot!
i have no idea how to use it.
we went to a balloon/wine festival yesterday and i got to play with my new toy.
i shot the family unit in auto all day, i didn't want to waste any good photo ops.
unfortunately the wind was blowing like crazy and they didn't fly any balloons.
however, they did give it a whirl... :lol
then, just as the sun was going down(as was the wine... there WAS a DD in the group),
my two year old daughter says, "balloon." and is pointing behind us.
we turned around and sure enough, one lonely balloon was up in the air.
i turned on the camera and pointed, but looking at the bar under the image, the arrow was all the way to the left.
my thinking was it would be under exposed so i switched it to manual and slowed down the shutter.
was i right(or drunk)?
i think it's a pretty cool shot.
what do you think?
