Fish tank and first attempt at flowers

my brothers fish tank with No Sex Under water sign.

and heres my first attempt at taking photos of flowers. not sure what kind they are but here they are:

Well the actual flower part came out pretty damn blurry, but the stem and leaves seemed to have came out pretty clearly....feedback welcome and appreciated.

It seems like you had a focusing problem with the flowers. Does your camera have a marco focusing option? If it does it will allow you to get closer to the flowers and still have them in focus. Make sure to have the flowers in the middle when the camera is focusing because most cameras focus in the middle

haven't a clue, all i know is its a Fujifilm S3100 digital camera with 6x optical zoom....no clue if it has marco focusing?

It probably does. Try pressing the left button on the circle of buttons in the back and make sure its on automatic mode. You should be able to focus on things much closer

i'm not familiar with that camera, so i can't offer any advise on focusing closely, but the flower looks like a vinca, i have some in my garden as they are one of the only flowers that can take the summer heat here in az...
