Yea Manual focus on these macros is fine. Just bracket them while adjusting your distance to subject with micro adjustments. I get a bunch out of focus also, but you can a few that work too!

Well, true fact is that while it IS a pretty flower (flowers are inherently beautiful!), this photo is not the best OF said flower, it is very centred, the background is distractingly busy, although I see the merits of those starlike little stems radiating out from the flower, but there is something intruding on the bottom left, a railing? The photo is not quite focused, oof by a bit, it lacks in contrasts and detail.

And if this must not be said, then I don't know...
Let my and PF's words make you think, learn, plan some more for the next flower pic, focus, watch the background, put it out of the very centre of the photo ... and you'll become better!
