Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I set out yesterday to attempt to catch butterflies in flight....and then I realized that it was more interesting if you can capture one stationary and in focus and one that shows its motion blur.

I am sure these are going to be "an acquired taste" type of shots.

I enjoyed chasing them and thought I would share them

I am still editing so if you like them return later to see more.

Cheers, joe

These are phenomenal! The shallow depth of field really brings out the subject. I also love the blurred movement of the wings but the sharpness of the body.

Very nice, especially that first one. The blurred movement of one and the sharp focus of the other really makes the image.

Thanks for the comments... Here is another

Still adding to the gallery...This is the shot that I took that got me turned onto the effort.

May I ask what shutter speed did you use for these shots? And did you use macro lens?

Thes were between 1/60th to 1/200th They were not shot with a macro lens, they were shot with my Nikkor 70-200 vr f/2.8 lens at 200mm. and around f/6.3

I did use a ton of flash to try to get the shutter speed up some because I was shooting handheld.

I hope this helps.

Joe
