Hey folks. I'm a thirty-something guy, married, father of three. I really badly wanted to get into photography as a kid but had a hard time getting a decent beginner camera and sort of forgot about it for many years. In early 2008 I finally got myself a decent camera and I wish I had done it many years earlier. I love it. In fact I've picked up a few more cameras, and I'm getting into film photography and developing my own B&W film. I've been doing a lot of different model shoots in this area to help girls get their portfolios going. I've found it to be incredibly useful to help build my own skill set. Started from shooting in the dreaded P-mode in ambient light to using a hand held flash meter with off-camera lighting and fully manual exposures. On the digital side, yes, I work primarily with RAW files. On the film side, I don't print from negatives but rather scan them on my flatbed. Just looking for a good community where I can continue to learn and maybe help others, too. Here is a recent photograph, taken last night of my Green Terror fish.
